Current problems to result in ‘renovation of Iran’s economy’

TEHRAN, Jul. 30 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that the country has to endure a period of external and regional pressures which would lead to renovation of Iran’s economy.

He made the remarks on Monday in the Iranian Parliament’s ‘economic transparency fraction’.

The country’s current status is caused by some internal and external issues, he said, adding that world’s intelligence services have focused their activities on Iran’s economic activities.

The country has followed every possible route to counteract US’ plots and pressures on Iranian people’s livelihood, he highlighted. “During last 40 years we hadn’t negotiated with US but during recent years, and with the request of US, we started negotiations regarding nuclear issue. The talks lasted for two years and resulted in Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). We tried that not to let nuclear issue to put pressure on daily life of people.”

US officials do not adhere to international rules, he emphasized, adding that Iran had the right to exit JCPOA just after US withdrawal from the pact, however Iran didn’t do that.

Saying that Iran has to endure a period of domestic and regional pressures, Larijani further added that it is possible to see this period as an opportunity which leads to renovation of Iran’s economy.
